I’m coming up (at end of May) to a career hiatus after five years of running my own legal practice. I will continue pottering at being a lawyer (or something close to it) until another interesting full time opportunity rears its head.
The good news is that I imagine that this will take at least six months and during the meantime I intend to get a bunch of projects off the ground.
These include:
- bringing PDO for WordPress and the sqlite driver up to scratch with version 3.2 WP
- writing an open source full bookkeeping and accounts package for professional service providers requiring multi currency support (there are lots of webservices available but NONE have all the features that a simple business such as mine would need).
- writing a management application for gite/chambres d’hotes businesses
- adding a simplified accounts and invoicing module for the gite management software
writing an art collection management application.
